Discover Argentina's breathtaking natural beauty on this full-day tour. After getting picked up from your hotel in Salta, begin the journey towards the neighboring province of Jujuy, passing through the towns of Volcán and Tumbaya along the way. Your first stop of the day is at the beautiful town of Purmamarca, one of the most picturesque villages in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Quebrada de Humahuaca. Visit the town's vibrant main square and perhaps pick up some souvenirs at one of the many surrounding craft stands. Afterward, enjoy a visit to the breathtaking and aptly-named 7 Color Hill. Later, continue your ascent along the majestic Cuesta del Lipan to reach the Salinas Grandes, one of the 7 Wonders of the Argentine Republic. Here, enjoy some free time to admire the unique salt planes and famous pools. Afterward, return to Purmamarca and break for lunch at one of the many traditional restaurants before returning to Salta.

It was exciting, but there was so much time that I would have liked to see the processing of the salt. To get an insight into the salt production. Staying over 2 hours in Punmarca is too much! You can get the souvenirs offered there everywhere else. You have to inform people in advance that you are going to almost 4200 m. And that it takes 3 hours to get to the Salinas Grandes.

Great experience which i can highly recommend! Fernando was a great guide who made the around 3 hour drive very entertaining. He has a great knowledge about the region and the environment which he shares with great passion. Despite speaking fluent spanish and englisch, Fernando is also able to share his knowledge into a fluent german. So if you are german speaking with a limited english, dont worry, you will be able to follow Fernandos explanations without any problems. Again many thanks for the fantastic day and keep on going!
