Salta: Quebrada de Humahuaca and San Pedro de Atacama

Our journey begins early in the morning in the city of Salta, where we will board a comfortable vehicle that will gradually take us into the majestic Quebrada de Humahuaca. You will witness an amazing transition of landscapes as the lush vegetation of the Salta valleys gives way to the arid but colorful hills that characterize this region, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Our first stop will be in the charming town of Tilcara, where you will have the opportunity to explore its cobblestone streets and visit its historic square.
We will continue our journey to one of the highlights of the day: the imposing Hornocal, the famous "Hill of 14 Colors." Prepare to be amazed by this geological wonder, where the vibrant hues of the mountain, intensified by the sunlight, will offer you a unique and unforgettable visual experience. You will have time to take pictures and simply contemplate the grandeur of this landscape.
Before heading to our destination for the night, we will make a brief stop in Maimará. From here, you will have a privileged view of the iconic Cerro Paleta del Pintor, whose multicolored layers are intensified by the warm light of the sunset, offering an unforgettable postcard view.
Finally, we will arrive at the charming town of Purmamarca, famous for its Cerro de los Siete Colores (Hill of Seven Colors), which will welcome you. Here, you will stay in comfortable lodging to rest and prepare for the second day of our adventure.
The next morning, we will set off early on our journey to the border crossing with Chile and our final destination: San Pedro de Atacama. On the way, we will make a fascinating stop at the spectacular Salinas Grandes, a vast white salt desert where you can take photographs and experience the immensity of this unique landscape.
From there, we will continue our journey through the arid and awe-inspiring landscapes that herald the arrival of the Atacama Desert and the magical town of San Pedro, where we will drop you off at your accommodation so you can begin exploring this fascinating destination.
