Poblet Monastery Tour

The Monastery was brilliant - totally worth a visit. But the driver/guide was completely uncommunicative. No commentary either journey, despite this being in the tour description. No aircon and a boiling hot car for most of the way back. Just as well one of our group spoke Spanish to talk to the entrance staff at the monastery, as the driver seemed unable to, and it looked like he just about managed to scrape together enough cash to pay for us all. The driver had to look up the place and start the satnav on his phone part way there (while driving!) so looks like he’d never been there before. The monastery itself, the audiovisual presentation and the guide through the app were all really good, so it’s well worth a visit. But maybe better to go with a company that’s either cheaper or where you actually get some added value from a guide.
