Join us on a journey of discovery of the inland Algarve, specifically the area known as "Barrocal", - a journey to delight your senses, awaken your curiosity and whet your appetite for more… Our first port of call is to the small town of São Brás de Alportel - quite typical of the Algarve in its architecture and activities. Here we visit a cork factory. The cork that is harvested in the surrounding area is brought to this factory, prepared, treated and then exported. We explore a local bakery renowned for its traditional produce - carob bread, almond cakes and honey cakes. There is time also to visit the fascinating São Brás Ethnographic Museum. Onward we go to Salir - a bucolic village where you can see the remnants of the ancient castle and its walls. Ou last stop will be at one of the most beautifull villages in the Algarve: Alte! There will be time to stroll through its small alleys and enjoy the peacefull calm that is so typical from this region!

Experience the adrenaline rush of driving a quad off-road in the countryside of the Algarve. After an all-important safety briefing at the base, you and your guide will head out into the countryside. Cover a variety of terrains with panoramic views, steep inclines where your skills will be proven, and cross streams and riverbeds (depending on the time of year).   As a special addition, you’ll also take a short drive through two typical towns of the interior of Algarve: Paderne and Alte. Enjoy lunch in a typical Portuguese restaurant and see the historic Paderne Castle, an ancient fortification constructed in the 12th century by Berbers, or visit the famous Alte Natural Springs. Get a marvelous view of your surroundings from the Old Windmills at Rocha da Pena. You will return to your starting point in the afternoon.

Immerse yourself in traditional Algarvian villages on this day trip from Vilamoura. Try local flavors as you taste regional brandy at a distillery in the village of Barranco do Velho. Be picked up from the meeting point in Vilamoura. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive to the ancient city of Loulé. Stop and walk through a colorful local market where you can find a diverse selection of regional products. Drive to the hilltop village of Querença. Take some photos of the picturesque white buildings in this town. Visit the Nossa Sra. Da Assunção church which and admire its Portuguese gilded work and 17th-century paintings and tiling.  Continue to the village of Salir to stop at the archaeological museum which has a glass floor above the 12th-century foundations of an old castle. Drive to the village of Barranco do Velho to taste Arbutus Brandy at a local distillery.  Have a delicious lunch in the well-preserved traditional village of Alte which is composed of whitewashed houses and a charming canal. Return to your starting point at the end of your tour.
