We had so much fun on our Cocora Valley and Salento private hiking tour. The BEST part of our tour was our guide, Pedro. Pedro was so knowledgeable about the area and the history surrounding it. He was funny, patient, and kind. We are from the USA, and our spanish is not great, but that was no problem because his English was PERFECT. He really took his time showing us around. The tour exceeded our expectations because of Pedro. We felt extremely safe in Salento, it was such a beautiful town. Additionally, I have a severe allergy to tomato, Banana, and plantain. Pedro took my allergy very seriously and personally checked with the restaurant we stopped at, to make sure my food would be safe for me to eat. Pedro suggested a local dish that was DELICIOUS. Thanks again to Pedro for making this such a memorable tour. I highly reccomend booking this tour with Pedro, it was the best private tour we've ever been on.

David picked us up on time at the hotel. He has a profound knowledge of the area and speaks perfect english. He answered all our questions professionally. Because of our age (75 and 70) he was gave us ample time to rest, recover and admire the beautiful valley. The Cocora Valley is beautiful. We strongly recommend this tour and if David is your guide consider yourself to be lucky. Thank you David and keep up the good work. PS David recommended two sites in Salento: Jesus Cafe and a trout restaurant, I forgot the name. Both were the best places we visited. He even took us to a coffee farm in Salento.

Hike through the magical Valle del Cocora, part of Colombia’s Coffee Triangle that's famous for having the world’s tallest palm trees. Take photos at breathtaking viewing points and see local coffee farms from outside (not a coffee farm visit).

Meet your tour guide and make your way to the entrance of the valley. Learn about the Quindio wax palm, the national tree of Colombia, as you trek beneath its towering trunks. Take a short ride in one of the traditional cars coffee growers use to travel between farms.

Get back on your feet and hike to beautiful viewing points overlooking the valley, perfect for a picture or two. If you're lucky, experience the magic of the mists when winds blow the water vapor between the trees and transform the valley.

Finally, meet the locals and start getting to know what life is like in the valley and discover some of the world’s best landscapes.

The first impression wasn't great to be honest. We had a tour booked from Salento for 7am but the guide contacted us the night before asking to do later so we agreed on 8.30am. Then in the am he moved it to 9 am but him and the driver showed up at 9.20 am. I was worried it was going to be a waste of time. In the end we had a completely private tour only the 2 of us with Juan the driver and David the guide. They were both brilliant and went above and beyond to keep us safe and make us enjoy the day. The hike was moderately hard but beautiful and we felt very lucky to be just the 2 of us instead of the big groups we saw there. Took us 2 hours to go up to the third viewpoint 5k i think (going slowly and stopping for pictures) and 1 hour 15 min to go down. Thank you so much David for the great day!!
