From Calvi: Agriate Guided Jeep Tour to Lotu and Saleccia

1. From Calvi: Agriate Guided Jeep Tour to Lotu and Saleccia

Time stops and immersion in "the attic of Corsica"! As rich in history as in vegetation, we set off to discover an extraordinary site combining maquis and beaches worthy of the Caribbean... The Agriates desert is a micro-region that is desert only in name! Planted with Mediterranean vegetation that is traditionally found in the maquis, such as holm oaks, olive trees or even heather and myrtles. The 13km of 4x4 track will offer us the possibility of admiring extraordinary points of view, of discovering the history of the site with the many mullers (pagliaghji) - small stone constructions with roofs covered with earth - which mark out the territory and which are the witnesses of intense past agro-pastoral activities, but also to meet the wild fauna populating the desert (cows, warblers, grass snakes, peregrine falcons etc…) At the arrival of the track, stop on the beaches of Lotu and Saleccia (protected natural areas), land of the Conservatoire de l'espace littoral, real paradises on earth... or rather maritime! Fine white sand beaches, clear turquoise waters, sea bream, cuttlefish and other “inhabitants”… get your masks and snorkels on!! For those who wish, it is possible to go for a "short" hike on part of the customs path between the beaches of Lotu and Saleccia. (1h15 on average).

Ile Rousse : désert des agriates : Saleccia - Lotu

Activity completely in line with the expected sensations and discovery: top guide, as for the explanations which go through his extreme good humor... and humor, and his adaptation to the different "profiles" of tourists. Cultural exchanges accessible to everyone, teenagers among others, which make you want to sign up for new authentic discoveries, thanks to the pleasure that Stéphane had in passing on to us his love of the Corsican land. Only happiness, in a spirit of adventure combined with pleasure for the eyes. Long live the Corsican mountains, the Saleccia beach and big thanks to Stéphane who gave us our best day of the week!

It was a good experience, we were picked up from the previously agreed starting point and on time super punctual. We were at the risk of postponing the excursion due to strong winds but in the end everything turned out great. The guide who accompanied us was very nice and gave us a lot of information on the history of Corsica, he remained active throughout the journey and enthused us with his stories ... Very satisfied with having chosen this excursion.

Solid tour with a great guide. Along with the Beautiful panoramas and beach, we talked about some Culture and history of the island. Do note That if you booked the tour in English and You are with a french group, you will be Hearing a lot more French than English. But that Seems to be more because you are I’m Corsica. The tours are predominantly French

A fun boat trip, which brought stars to our eyes because the landscapes were so wow. A big thank you to Captain Gilbert for his good humor
