This was a fantastic half day experience and you were looked after all through the process. The Guides were excellent (David) and gave you some really interesting points about the island. The 1000cc Buggies were well worth the upgrade. We went as a family of 5 with 3 buggies and we were still talking about how much fun we had well in to the evening. Bring some loose Euros for the toilets, there are a couple but locals charge 50 cents to a euro so one to remember. Water shoes if you want to go with the Lemon sharks but you can hire for 3 euros… Nothing negative to say about this tour, we would of gone all day with the fun in the buggies and the care of the team. Thank you very much for a memorable experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Full description

Explore Sal's highlights on this 4-hour, coast-to-coast, off-road guided island tour. After either being picked up at your hotel in Santa Maria or making your way to the meeting point, begin your tour on the west coast. Discover the bay of Murdeira with the Lion Mountain, the Fontona Oasis, and Palmeira, the island's main port.

Arriving at the northwestern side, enjoy the amazing natural swimming pool of Regona. See the mirage at Terra Boa, then make your way to Pedra de Lume and the old crater of the volcano where you can find the second most salty water in the world. At the top, marvel at panoramic views of the island.

Next, stop at Shark Bay to see lemon sharks in their natural environment. Cross through Serra Negra, the natural reserve of the island, and visit Kite Beach, a beautiful white sandy beach full of colorful kite surfs. Finally, finish your highlights tour at the salt flats of Santa Maria and admire the picturesque sand dunes.

What an awesome and adrenaline-pumping experience! The route is basically covering all the main highlights of the island, all seen from a different angle. Lots of off-road driving, which was a plus for us! I would definitely recommend this activity and I would come back
