Great trip and lovely to see the island and didn’t disappoint , great guide and driver . Saw turtles swimming, saw the blue eye , salt mine was a brilliant experience . And the mirage was interesting to see , overall well worth the money

It was a good all day activity and great value. We like to explore and see and feel a bit of the local area and culture A fair few stops If I remember rightly the first stop took us to the most southerly point on Sal Then to see the Lemon sharks was interesting, having them swim around your feet. Crocs are given to each person for walking in the sea. Next to Salinas Salt Lake where we all floated in the lake, there are showers, a downhill descent so remember you have to go back up, fairly gentle gradient so wasn’t a problem but may be difficult with those who have mobility issues. We went off-roading to see a natural phenomenon- a mirage which was an interesting ride, next for a lunch stop in Espargos, lovely buffet food and good price, pay by weight of food Next to Blue Eye Cave, connected to the ocean, the pool shines light blue when the sun catches it, there is an exhibition here and shop and refreshments for purchase if you want Next to Palmeira village and end of trip.

Full description

We'll pick you up from your hotel by minibus at 9am. We'll start the route by travelling along the south of Sal Island, where we'll see the pontoon and the salt pans of Santa Maria.
We'll then head towards Murdeira Bay. After swimming in its refreshing waters, we'll head to the fishing village of Palmeira. From there, we'll go to the Buracona lagoon, a beautiful natural pool. We'll continue the tour through the Terra Boa desert, whose landscapes will surprise us with a curious mirage.
We'll make our next stop in the island's administrative capital: Espargos, where you'll have an hour of free time to have lunch on your own. With our energy recharged, we'll climb up to a famous viewpoint to contemplate the views of the island. The tour continues towards the shores of Parda Bay, famous for being the natural habitat of lemon sharks.
Very close by are the Pedra de Luma salt pans. Next to them is a series of lagoons where, like in the Dead Sea, you can float in their waters. A perfect opportunity to tone your skin naturally!
Then we'll start the journey back to your hotel on Sal Island. Arrival is scheduled for 5pm.

An amazing and well-organized day trip with a fantastic price-to-experience ratio! We got to enjoy some truly unique moments – walking right next to sharks at Shark Bay and floating effortlessly in the super salty water of the salines were absolutely unforgettable. Lunch was at a buffet-style restaurant and was both good and affordable (11€/kg). A big shoutout to our guide Yannick, who kept the vibe fun and stress-free while also sharing interesting facts and history about the island. The only slight letdown was the Blue Eye – while it’s a beautiful site, we had to wait quite a while, and swimming in the natural pools wasn’t allowed due to a red flag. Just be aware that there are a few additional entry fees (3€ Blue Eye, 6€ salines, 3€ Shark Bay incl. crocs shoes), and they should be paid in cash. Despite that, it was a day full of memories and absolutely worth doing. Highly recommended!
