Worthwhile to see major sights without much waiting or elbow jostling

I was about the third person to step into the Sistine Chapel. Great to observe the frescoes at our leisure. I think there were only fifty people in the room for at least 10 minutes. Accessing St Peters immediately was also very worthwhile - when we exited, the queue was snaked the whole way around the piazza. You do burn through the Vatican museums very fast, but this is specified in the tour notes and I didn't mind. The crypt was closed on the day we were there (but our guide found out it was reopening soon and ended our tour on the porch so we could enter again ourselves and walk through). I was disappointed that we could not enter the Vatican Museums again after the tour (Sistine Chapel Express without St Peters Basilica allows this). I now understand that the logistics of the buildings makes it impossible, but because I had read both of the tour outlines, I kind of presumed that the one we chose was an upgrade (included everything the other one had, plus more, nothing less).

Outstanding tour with very knowledgable guide.

Had been to St. Peter's before but not to the necropolis. This is a must-see tour. The guide was very knowledgeable. One tip for the tour. It would have been useful to walk the route of the necropolis tour on the present Basilica level, especially since a portion of the Gaius Trophy is visible in the niche in the Confessio. It would also have been useful to point out the location of the Clementine Chapel from the upper level. These sites got explained while we were touring the necropolis and crypt levels, but it would help first time visitors to point them out from the upper level before going below. Our group toured the basilica first so a spatial orientation to what we would be seeing just a few feet below would have been an easy fit.

Excellent Early Morning, Quiet view of a spectacular work

Our guide was knowledgeable and made it fun even while keeping to a schedule. The early morning entry was perfect to be able to enjoy the art without a ton of people. We ran out of time to into the Grotto with the guide as they were in the middle of a service but we were still able to go in by ourselves.

Great very informative tour with knowledgeable tour guide

The tour was very informative and well laid out. It brought out details that you would have to take hours to dig out on your own. The guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all the questions posed to her.

An absolute must if visiting St Peter's Basilica!

This is an amazing tour! I highly recommend it. It's amazing to think you are standing on a path that has been there for almost 2,000 years! An archaeologists dream!
