Saint Johns River, Florida (State)

On this 2-hour excursion your group will paddle and explore the natural habitat of wild manatee. In the winter months we launch near springs and in the warmer months we paddle the river to find them feeding. While on the water we will also experience close encounters with otter, wading birds, turtles, alligators, deer, and the occasional black bear. Your guide will contact you the day before with the exact meeting point, update you on the wildlife seen on that days tour, and answer any questions you might have.

If you are looking to get away from the crowds, this tour is for you! Come join me on the lower Wekiva River, where we will see Florida at its most natural. In this ecosystem we will see flora and possibly wildlife including birds, turtles, otters, deer, and maybe an alligator. This river is part of the St. Johns River which is the largest river in Florida so we do have a possibility of seeing the occasional manatee also.
