What to Expect
This 3-hour adventure is designed for experienced kayakers and snorkelers. Paddle across Caneel Bay and snorkel in the Caribbean waters off Henley Cay on a fabulous coral reef, teeming with schools of colorful fish.

Henley Cay is a tropical and tranquil uninhabited islet inside the Virgin Islands National Park. Relax on a sandy beach, watch the seabirds, and take in scenic views of Caneel Bay and Honeymoon Beach. From the highest point on the Henley Cay trail you’ll come across parts of a World War II plane wreck and enjoy views of the British Virgin Islands as well.

Snorkelers will discover an impressive collection of colorful corals including brain, pillar, sheet, star, and the endangered elkhorn and staghorn varieties.

Our Henley Cay tour departs from Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay, St. John. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour. Directions: Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay, St John, is on the north shore of the Virgin Islands National Park. You can reach Honeymoon Beach at Caneel Bay Resort several ways: • By car to Caneel Bay Resort, 1 mile from Cruz Bay; • By taxi to Caneel Bay Resort; or • Hike the easy 1-mile path (20 minutes) that starts out from behind the VI National Park Visitor Center in Cruz Bay. The Lind Point Trail is a popular and easy trail to walk from Cruz Bay, starting a few blocks from the passenger ferry terminal.

What to Remember
What to wear/bring:

• Bathing suit
• Clothing that can get wet, and a hat, sunglasses etc. for sun protection
• Footwear that can get wet (water shoes or sandals) with a strap around the heel

This is a strenuous tour and includes 20 minutes of paddling each way. This tour is best enjoyed by persons in good physical condition and who have paddled before. Participants should be 14 years or older and in good physical condition.
