Ercolano: Herculaneum Skip-the-Line Ticket & Audio Guide

Visit the ruins of Herculaneum! The Roman city of Herculaneum, destroyed and buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D., was brought back to the chronicles of history in the 18th century thanks to Bourbon explorations. Over time, the memory of the location of the ancient Roman city was lost, and it was not until 1710 that a farmer, Ambrogio Nucerino, digging a well to irrigate his vegetable garden, recovered many valuable marble fragments, which only later were understood to belong to the theater of the ancient city. A day before the tour our team will contact you via whatsapp or via email: we will send you the tickets and all the informations you need. Be sure to download on your smartphone all the contents before the visit. The ruins and museums don't have free Wi-Fi and mobile network coverage is not always good. Reservations arriving after 6 p.m. will be processed the following morning after 8 a.m..

We upgraded to include a tour guide. it's worth doing it, because Fabio was brilliant. We were shown around at a steady pace, stopping at key points to have the significance of that area of the site explained. Hernculaneum itself is breath taking. Standing amongst all the history, with the beautiful ruins, seeing the detailed flooring, wall decorations, even the frescos that have been found.

Really good. Learned a lot from a brilliant guide. Guilia really knows her stuff and how to get it over in an engaging way. Can't rec her highly enough. Quite tiring but that's not a complaint, just inevitable if you're to do more than scratch the surface.

Brilliant. Luciano Leon our guide was excellent. So much better than the Pompei guide. Although a lot smaller than Pompei more quality to see although the boathouses with the skeletons was off limits at present which was a shame.

Very pleasant visit with Louisa who was very professional and attentive to our questions. Thanks to her we learned a lot of things. Thank you for this very nice visit.

Very good host and the information was interesting to learn the differences with Pompeii. Glad we took the tour!
