The experience was just amazing and one of a kind. Dunes Insolites team was very flexible and accommodating at the camp. Then the trek itself was very pleasant and exactly what I was looking for - authentic and enabling an environment to soak in the natural force of the desert through walking, camping and cooking. Fathi the guide was very attentive to my pace, resourceful and a great cook! We spent four days and three nights in the Sahara Desert with Les Dunes Insolites team. We had an amazing time with Mouldi on the camels for three days and one overnight bivouac with Abdullah via jeep. Mouldi cooked for us, sang around the fire, and taught us lots about the desert wildlife as well as leading our camels over the dunes! We took everything we needed on the camels so it was a truly nomadic experience. Nayer, the manager of Les Dunes Insolites, was incredibly helpful and made things run smoothly as he also speaks very good English. He allowed us to be flexible with what activities we did considering the high temperatures which made the experience more enjoyable. He even helped us when our car got stuck in the sand (though that was our own fault as you can easily reach the main camp by a normal car). The trip was a fantastic adventure and I would highly recommend this to anyone!

Day 1 Discovery of Asskria and Night in Lelagaya

Arrival at Sabria, welcome by your nomadic guide.
Our camel journey begins from Sabria by the beautiful sand dunes of Asskria.
Lunch in Asskria then camel ride to reach the lost palm tree of Lelagaya.
Installation of Bedouin tents by camel drivers. Evening around the fire hosted by the camel drivers
Dinner and night in Lelagaya .

Day 2 Sunset in Sidi Jemil

After breakfast, our journey continues towards the famous marabout of Sidi Jemil, the path famous for flint where we stop to look for some and for lunch.
At the end of the day, we reach the dunes of Sidi Jemil, a very beautiful place to admire and contemplate the white sand desert and then to watch the beautiful sunset. Dinner and night in Sidi Jemil.

Day 3 Hike to Ommi Henda and Night Under the Stars

Wake up early to admire the sunrise. After breakfast we will continue our experience towards Ommi Henda crossing the majestic dunes and the endless sea of sand.
Lunch at Ouinat Rajah and continuation to Ommi Henda. To reach our last camp under the magic of the stars and between the sand dunes.

Day 4 Return to Sabria, End of the Adventure

After breakfast, return to the camels and return to Sabria, the starting point. Goodbye to the desert and hiking in the beautiful dunes of Sabria.
