Great trip to immerse in the desert and enjoy the tranquility. Our driver, Mohamed, was very friendly and a great chef too. Welcome at the Camping Dunes Insolites was very warm, as was the post-trip shower. Only thing was there were a lot of mosquitos, especially at sunset, so I would advise dousing yourself in repellent before leaving the campsite.
The excursion "Sabria: 4x4 Bivouac in the Desert with Dinner and Camping" has undoubtedly been one of the most authentic and memorable experiences of my trip to Tunisia. Going into the desert on board a 4x4, driving between dunes and feeling the immensity of the Sahara around you is something that leaves you breathless. The excitement of the adventure is combined with the beauty of the landscape, creating an indelible memory. What I highlight most about this activity is the closeness of the guides. Even though communication was sometimes a bit complicated (they only spoke French or Arabic), their kindness and hospitality were exceptional. They made us feel at home, sharing with us their culture, their customs and their passion for the desert. Dinner under the stars, with traditional dishes cooked over a slow fire, was a real feast for the senses. And sleeping surrounded by the silence of the desert and under a blanket of stars was a magical experience that I will never forget.
