My guide, Fam, was absolutely wonderful. Our pace was good. He knowledge of the area was excellent. She also gave us fair warning about the lower water capacity at the waterfalls and the lack of visibility of the terraced fields because of the thick mist. Honestly, this trip could have been a complete bust, but he guidance and helpful descriptions allowed me to see the area for the beauty it geld in the conditions we were in. We sat on one hilltop and just watched the mist pass as we hoped for an opening. It came partially, and was just an awesome experience sitting and being amongst the clouds in nature. The only complaint was what I paid. It was advertised for $75 but I was required to pay $120. It would be nice if someone could explain this to me.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour will our local H’mong guide Pang. Even though it costs a bit more, we really enjoyed the private tour, as it allowed us to get to know our guide a lot better and ask a lot of questions. Pang was lovely, very knowledgeable, and spoke fantastic English. Definitely recommended!
