Lastly, you will have free time to visit Santa Claus Village, where you will have the opportunity to meet Santa himself, step across the Arctic Circle, and enjoy the pure Christmas spirit. You will also have time for some gift shopping and sending a Christmas letter from Santa’s Post Office. Children 4-12 years old can try mini snowmobiling for 10 minutes on our mini-track. Your day will conclude as your guide drops you off back to Rovaniemi.

Meet and mush with your new howling, furry friends on this safari adventure. Huskies are one of the most beloved animals of the North, and you’ll understand why as soon as you meet the pack. Pet them, pose with them for photos, and listen to stories about their lives.   Then, take a 7- to 10-kilometer long husky sled ride, where you get to be the musher yourself. This means you can control the pack of huskies towing the sled. The dogs absolutely love pulling loads and running on the trail across the forests. Feel the thrill of the ride and the cool wind on your face as you tear through the forests.   Finish off with a hot drink before saying goodbye to your new friends.

You will visit the oldest and most authentic reindeer farm in Rovaniemi area. A nice 45m/1h reindeer sled ride in the forest is waiting for you. Enjoy the beautiful forest landscapes of snowy with your new animal friend. After your ride you'll head inside a traditional wooden kota, warm up by the fire and enjoy some warm hot berry juice while you receive information about the reindeers life cicle, reindeer herding lifestyle and the farm in general. Enjoy snow-covered winter forests as you travel 5 to 10 kilometers pulled by a team of huskies. Meet your guide at your hotel near the center of Rovaniemi and head for the charming farmhouse where you'll greet your dog sledding team. Then it's off to search for the Aurora Borealis. The huskies will lead you into a Lappish forest to discover the exquisite and unique nature of the Arctic. After the ride, enjoy some grilled Lappish snacks and good company around a fire. After you've had your fill of stargazing and dazzling light displays, your guide will take you back to the hotel so you can rest up for tomorrow's adventures.

We will pick you up at your accommodation or at the meeting location. We will drive outside Rovaniemi center to the husky kennel. At the location you will meet the professional mushers and will give you instructions on how to drive the sled. You will go for an amazing experience of a 5km husky ride through amazing landscapes. At the end you will go inside a traditional kota or yurt to enjoy a warm drink and some cookies and learn about the huskies and the kennel. Please note that this is a small group experience far from the big crowded husky kennels

This snowmobile safari gives you a chance to ride your own snowmobile on the forest trails through the Arctic Circle area. You will enjoy the beautiful wintery scenery, during the way we will make several stops to admire snowy nature. 2 adults ride on one snowmobile, single riding supplement for extra charge. The tour is suitable for anyone interested to experience snowmobile riding. Children are traveling in the sledge pulled by the guides snowmobile. The driver of a snowmobile has to be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver license – A1, T, A or B category (please check that it is valid in Finland!) Snowmobile safaris start and end at the Wild Nordic safari centre located opposite the Santa Claus Village. You can skip return transfer and continue your visit to Santa. The riding time on snowmobiles is approximately 1 hour and 30-40 minutes.
