Meet your guide at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park in Santa Claus Village (Joulumaantie 5) or at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park City Office (Koskikatu 25). The city office in the Rovaniemi Center is located downstairs in the Shopping Center Rinteenkulma (Koskikatu 25). You can also find entrance to the city office just across the road from Hertz and Scandic Rovaniemi City. • Meeting time at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park Safari Office in Santa Claus Village, address is Joulumaantie 5, 40-minutes prior to the scheduled activity starting time. • Meeting time at Arctic Circle Snowmobile Park City Office, Shopping Center Rinteenkulma, Koskikatu 25, 1-hour prior to the scheduled activity starting time. • Missed meeting time and point will result on missed safari which will not be refunded.

Our guide Arto was very knowledgeable and made sure our experience was top tier. The highlight for me was the snow mobile and the huskies. I felt that the tour package was good as it gave us enough time to experience each - husky sled ride 10 mins, reindeer sled ride 10 mins and 1 hour snow mobile through the frozen landscapes which was very beautiful.

Full description

Experience an action-packed arctic journey where you get to ride snowmobiles through stunning wilderness, meet enchanting reindeer, and energetic Alaskan Huskies and explore the Santa Claus Village. Our guides will provide winter clothing and snowmobile training before taking off on a 1 hour long snowmobile adventure through Arctic Circle forests. After the snowmobile journey, visit the husky and reindeer farm, where you can enjoy a 500m ride on your own reindeer sledge and receive a reindeer sledge driver’s license. Next, make your way to the Alaskan Huskies and experience them in action on a 500m long sleigh ride. Listen to the local reindeer herders as they tell you more about the herding lifestyle and how it is to be a reindeer herder in the 21st century. After the farm visit, you will be taken to the Santa Claus Village where you will have some free time to explore at your own pace. You have the opportunity to experience the Christmas atmosphere, step across the Arctic Circle and meet Santa Claus himself! Your day will conclude with transfer back to Rovaniemi.

Know before you go

  • In order to drive a snowmobile, a valid driver's license (class B) is required. A provisional license or a picture of the driving license won’t be accepted. The driving license must in latin letters or translated to English or Finnish by a reputable source.
  • Two adults share one snowmobile. If there is an odd number of people in the group, someone in the group will have to share a snowmobile with another participant during the activity. Single driving is available as a supplement for adults
  • Children and adults without valid driver's licenses can join the adventure comfortably seated on a sled behind the guide's snowmobile
  • The snowmobile driver is responsible for any damages to the vehicle, with a maximum personal self-liability of 950€ per person per snowmobile in case of an accident. Additional insurance can be purchased on site for 15€, reducing self-liability to 150€. This insurance must be purchased before the start of the tour.
