Of our many adventures in Lapland, the first 30 seconds of the husky drive excelled above all others - the realisation the you should have listened a bit better to the brief and that no one else is in charge of your pack was quite the buzz! Once you get in the groove it’s an adrenaline rush that lasts nearly 10km. If you are an idiot you will crash. Some Americans crashed, we didn’t. The dogs are wired to run, so stay alert and make judicious use of both brakes. I am 62 and took my 2 adult children, this meant that I was the odd one out and got my own sled - a further hoot. Great value for money - the company really looked after us - no one froze, no one was injured. Bonus!

Full description

Meet and mush with your new howling, furry friends on this safari adventure. Huskies are one of the most beloved animals of the North, and you’ll understand why as soon as you meet the pack. Pet them, pose with them for photos, and listen to stories about their lives.  

Then, take a 7- to 10-kilometer long husky sled ride, where you get to be the musher yourself. This means you can control the pack of huskies towing the sled.


The dogs absolutely love pulling loads and running on the trail across the forests. Feel the thrill of the ride and the cool wind on your face as you tear through the forests.  

Finish off with a hot drink before saying goodbye to your new friends.

Getting to sled with the dogs is such a cool experience! They are so very excited, they also give you the option to steer the dogs which is a unique experience. Also afterwards you can pet some of the dogs! They told us about some of the dogs as well and even mentioned they had a rescue dog there. She was one of the dogs on my sled and while shy she is very cute!
