This experience was the highlight of our trip and I couldn't recommend it enough. They clearly take amazing care of the huskies and it was a small group tour which made it easy to chat with the guide. There is plenty of time to hang out with the huskies afterwards

it's immense experience on husky ride because I'm the one controlling the husky. it was my first experience, they have given proper instructions on how to handle. First half of the ride in Lake and second half in forest. This adventure also remains in my heart.

Full description

Meet and mush with your new howling, furry friends on this safari adventure. Huskies are one of the most beloved animals of the North, and you’ll understand why as soon as you meet the pack. Pet them, pose with them for photos, and listen to stories about their lives.   Then, take a 7- to 10-kilometer long husky sled ride, where you get to be the musher yourself. This means you can control the pack of huskies towing the sled.

The dogs absolutely love pulling loads and running on the trail across the forests. Feel the thrill of the ride and the cool wind on your face as you tear through the forests.   Finish off with a hot drink before saying goodbye to your new friends.

We offer two pick-up points: Rovaniemi City Center: at address Korkalonkatu 36, pickup time 50 min before activity starting time. Santa Claus Village: The bus stop Napapiiri I by the main road, E75, pickup time 35 min before activity starting time. Please note that if you miss the pick-up, refunds are not available. We really enjoyed this activity! Seeing the huskies is a Lapland classic. It was very well organized and you could tell safety was a top concern for the guides. Everything was well explained and it was amazing to be on the sled rotating to be both a driver and a passenger. The route was beautiful! My only 2 comments are that the address of the pickup needs to be updated (50 meters away only but did cause confusion for many) + would appreciate information about the huskies (ages, training process, feeding, how they’re cared for, etc).
