So glad we chose this activity. There were only the 3 of us in my group signed up for the time slot so we got a private tour. The sled ride through the quiet foresty area was magical, and our guide was great. She was very knowledgeable and fun. Getting to hang out with and feed the reindeers was also a special experience.

Amazing! Magical is the only way to describe this activity. I was the only single person there, but it didn't matter. the Reindeer were so sweet and the journey through the forest was splendid! After, while we were warming up, the guide answered all of our questions about Reindeer and we got to feed them. a wonderful experience

We participated in the Apukka Reindeer Journey activity last week. We were picked up from SCV just before 10am and taken the short journey to Apukka by coach. On arrival we were directed indoors to collect our overalls and boots for the activity. It took around 20 minutes to get our group organised. We were then taken to the reindeer area, about 10 minute walk from the main reception. The reindeers seemed to be well looked after. As our group was so large, we were split into two. We were in the second group. The first group went off on the reindeer ride and the rest of us stayed in the kota, with a fire, hot berry juice and biscuits. Our guide gave us some background information on the reindeers and answered questions. After an hour or so, it was our turn for the reindeer ride. We had woollen blankets on the sleighs to keep ourselves warm. The guides took us through the forest and out onto a frozen lake. The scenery was stunning. It was long enough for us not to get too cold!
