Leah was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help - from photographer, helping us when we got stuck in the snow with our snow shoes, chef and helping us dig our holes for ice fishing - was taking forever. Would definately recommend this tour!

We really loved the activities offered, which were all new to us. Our guide was really great, interesting and playful with us. The best was the floating, an incredible and very funny experience to live. We just regret the duration of the hike which seemed a little short to us, but which remains beautiful.

Full description

Start your adventure being picked up from your accommodation. From there you will be taken to the breathtaking terrain of the arctic forest where the day's activities will commence. Now it's time to lace up your snowshoes and begin your hike through the frozen wilderness of the forest.  Take a trip to a frozen lake where you will learn the art of ice fishing with a professional guide. The guide will teach you how to use the relevant fishing tools and how to make a hole in the ice - there are plenty of fish to catch in Lappish lakes! Take time out to enjoy a provided Salmon BBQ.  Afterwards, you will be provided with survival floating suits and have the opportunity to take part in one of Lapland's most exciting experiences, ice floating. Finish your day with convenience as your guides take you back to your accommodation.

  • Pickup and drop off to your accommodation within 15 km (driving distance) from Rovaniemi city center
  • English-speaking guide (other languages available on request: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese)
  • Winter clothes: overalls, boots, and gloves
  • Guided ice fishing with use of fishing equipment
  • Guided snowshoe walk in the forest or on the frozen lake
  • Guided ice floating with use of survival floating suits
  • Lappish BBQ: grilled salmon, Lappish bread, marshmallow, and hot drinks (vegetarian/vegan alternative in a request)
