Our Guide Tania was excellent . She used Her expert knowledge of Rotterdam’s architecture and the city to give us a great 2 hour introduction .
Our guide, Tanya, was fantastic! She was extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic and delightful. She showed us the amazing buildings (and structures such as the Erasmus Bridge), pointing out their special features (often from different viewing points) and many of which we would not have seen on our own. Tanya explained: their history, their purpose, their designers, how they fit into their location and the social history of the location. She showed us photos of the areas in the past so we could understand what change had taken place and why. She explained how the different buildings, depending on when they were designed and built, fitted into the social planning of Rotterdam. She also told us about the plans for new buildings in the future. We only had 24 hours in Rotterdam and we would have thought that we'd seen everything by simply walking around on our own but we now know there is SO much more to Rotterdam and will be planning to come back again.
