The Priest Spring is named after Father Mahoney, a Catholic Priest who was "cured" of his crippling arthritis from bathing in the waters in 1878. The Rachel Spring is a source of alkaline water, which features the antiseptic action of sodium silicate nourishing the skin. It was historically said that those who bathe in the waters of the Rachel Spring are blessed with ageless beauty. The combination of these two types of mineral waters is only found at Polynesian Spa. What people are saying about Rotorua

A lot of pools to choose from which was fantastic. I did enjoy going during the week as you have less people there and more time to soak in the pools which was really relaxing.

A fantastic dinner and show learning about the Māori culture. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. The hangi dinner was amazing. Would highly recommend this experience.

It was awesome. If you go early on a school day it is wonderful to meet more mature people who go to use the sps for exercise.

We loved the place. All the Pools. Everything. We are considering going back as soon as possible.
