Learned a lot about maori culture. Food was amazing. Enjoyed the walks, the Waka show and the performances. Performers were beautiful and had great voices. Very talented.
We did not book the hotel transfer because it was not part of the booking this time. So we drove up, there is a huge parking area next to the hall. The cultural activities were amazing, as well as the food, which was simply delicious. They cooked a lot and we were amazed by the taste and hospitality of Māori family. We had a great evening. Recommend it to 100%.

Know before you go
- Wheelchair accessibility is limited for the 'bush walk' - exit into the forest is via stairs. Viewing of the waka (canoe) is from a platform and you can go a short distance into the forest to view the old pā (village) and see the sacred spring below the forest. Unfortunately, you will not see the glow worms. (Note: there is some uneven surfaces).
- It is recommended you wear flat walking shoes and comfortable clothes, including a jacket during the winter months, we encourage you dress for the weather
