The was simply excellent, thousand thanks to David, our guide, who was the right kind of upgrade. I fully recommend. Grazie mille, David!
our Guide was a lady called Hillary, she was very informative pointing out interesting facts as we went round and kept it lighthearted. On the down side the connection between the headsets wasn't the best quality so we couldn't hear all the the information that Hillary was tell us .

Know before you go
- Please be aware that in peak season due to the great number of visitors it might take extra time to go through the security check and to collect with your guide the Vatican headsets that are compulsory in the Vatican Museums
- You will have to pass the airport-style security control. During high season the wait may be up to 30-minute
- For disabled visitors with certified invalidity of more than 74%, the Vatican Museums offers free entry. To benefit from this, make sure you mention it at least one day in advance, so that staff may handle your request
- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. Please cover your knees and shoulders (both men and women)
- There is no access to the Basilica on tours after 2:30 PM, on Wednesdays(all day), and on Vatican-imposed closing days.
- Please note that during Easter and Christmas time the fast access to the Basilica can't be guaranteed because St. Peter's may be closed due to religious functions
