Explore the Villa D'Este, a Renaissance jewel just outside Rome, and enjoy a delicious Italian lunch with fettuccine and spaghetti.
What to Expect
You will be picked up at your hotel or ship in Rome. After a short trip in the countryside, you reach Tivoli. This is the city where the Pope transformed a Franciscan garden into a beautiful villa in the year 1500.
Over 1000 fountains decor the beautiful Italian and French garden alleys, with magnificent views and shady corners to sit and relax. The best architect and artists of the renaissance contributed to create this jewel of green and water.
After the visit, try out the local wines, whites and reds together with famous fettuccine and spaghetti, typical for this area. Sitting in the shade, with a breathtaking view of Rome in the distance, this is a special tour that combines garden architecture and local wines and cuisine.
