      Your tour meets at the Fat Tire Tours office, located at Via dei Delfini 35/36, 00186 Rome. Located approximately 150 meters from Piazza Venezia (a 5-minute walk) and 1.5 km from the Colosseum ( a 15-minute walk). Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour departure.

      Know before you go

      • Riders must be able to make motions such as climbing and descending stairs without assistance
      • Each member of your party will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver form
      • Each tour begins with a thorough orientation of the Segway and its use
      • All participants must be at least 16 years of age and weigh at least 100 pounds and not in excess of 260 pounds
      • Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
      • Due to the risk involved, pregnant women are not allowed to participate in Segway tours
      • Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to ride, and will not be refunded

      A bit of apprehension before about the Segway. Marc Winds, our guide, was very reassuring and informative about how it worked. A few laps in the square next door and we were off for 3 hours. By Segway we cover much more distance than on foot and we had very complementary points of view to the other visits we made. The minimum height to ride a Segway is 1m40. We did this tour after the walking tours but it can be done at the beginning. Marc has magic glasses to immerse us in ancient Rome. His comments are very eclectic and to the point. Great memory.

      Marcelo our guide was brilliant from start to finish- the demonstration on how to safely use the Segway was thorough and he made sure we were confident before setting off. We got to see many of the attractions all with detailed commentary -Marcelo was happy to go at our pace and he answered all our questions - very knowledgeable guy.

      I’ve always wanted to ride a Segway and to do it in Rome was an added bonus. Our tour guide, Marco, was very friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we were safe when riding the Segway. He always reminded us to watch corners and where the wheels of the Segway were going so we remained safe. Also he reminded us to keep soft knees so our backs weren’t affected. He was very knowledgeable about the sights we saw as well, and the virtual reality goggles were an added bonus that made the experience enjoyable. A very positive experience . 10/10 would recommend
