The Museum is very big. Some Collections can be interesting for children of school age as an example their studies of history. As a general comment: this is about Vatican’s collection which is huge and requires lots of time to be looked at and learned. For the short trip to Roma as we had (2.5 days) the Museum can be skipped except Chappel Sistine.

The Vatican Museums are amazing but be aware that it can take several hours to go through (and still not see anything.) The Sistine Chapel was spectacular of course. The only thing preventing me from giving this five stars are two things. 1) You are SO bombarded by the sheer volume of things to see in the museums that by the time you get to the Sistine Chapel - the experience is somewhat diminished by the overload (it’s all too much.) 2) You can take pictures the entire time EXCEPT the Sistine Chapel. After combing though the museums for three hours prior, that was a HUGE disappointment and makes no sense since pictures are allowed in St. Peter’s Basilica which is an active church with many chapels, popes buried there and so on. Anyway, still worth it but a let down. Not Get Your Guides fault but maybe they could have warned me so I would know before anticipating being able to take pictures for the three hours leading up to it.

Wonderful tour!! This is a definitely „must see” at least once in a lifetime!! The museum is enormous- be prepared for at least 2 hrs of looking at most magnificent art pieces;) Everything was well-coordinated by local guiders, we knew where to go, which side to visit etc. And the whole museum as well as Sistina Capel- just breath taking.
