Full description
Take a stirring journey through art and religious history with skip-the-ticket-line entry to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Avoid the long ticket lines and then enjoy your visit at your own pace.  Wander through the Greek Cross Gallery to see elaborately-carved sarcophagi that might just contain the earthly remains of some of antiquity's famous kings and queens. Peek at the Cabinet of the Masks, or tour the Sala degli Animali to see a virtual menagerie of fantastic beasts, real and imagined. Walk the Upper Galleries, including the Gallery of Maps, to see how cartographers depicted the world through the ages. See masterpieces by Renaissance masters in the Raphael Rooms, and rest for a while in the Borgia Apartments. Then, it’s time to marvel at Michelangelo’s exquisite Sistine Chapel, the crown jewel of the Vatican, and perhaps even of all the world’s art treasures.

Getting into the Vatican museum was easy. Collecting the audio guide was a snap. The printed map was a little difficult to follow - it would have been better to have an actual map of the museum instead of just a line, and the audio headset was temperamental.

A must see for art enthusiasts and the like. This ticket allowed us to skip a huge crowd and going through security was a breeze. The one thing no one tells you is that you have to scan this GYG voucher for an actual museum ticket. There's 5 self help machine to get this done for your in seconds (literally). The museum also has a staff member assisting you at the machine. It's a self guided trip so once you're in, just explore the rich history this museum has to offer. You need about 3-4 hrs to walk around (it's huge). And do yourself a big favour, wear comfortable shoes and comfortable clothing.

Huge collection and therefore a long tour if you really want to see all the museums, which I recommend. Especially for the Sistine Chapel and the nearby rooms, the audio guide is descriptive and helps a lot to admire the works. It seems to me that a little more information is missing for the initial rooms. In my opinion, the visit takes at least half a day, although I would believe that the ideal would be one day to be able to take advantage of the tour, and have rest time.
