Take a tour of one of the holiest sites in Christendom on this guided walking tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter's Basilica. First, visit the Pine Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, the Gallery of the Maps, Candelabra Gallery, Pio Clementino's Rooms, the Tapestry Gallery, Raphael Rooms (only on early morning tours), and the Sistine Chapel. Then, be led by an expert guide to some of the major attractions, as well as to some lesser-known spots that other tourists often miss. You will also get to see other galleries of the Vatican corridors. Finally, visit Michelangelo's Pietà at St. Peter's Basilica before concluding your tour at the Sistine Chapel.

  • St. Peter's is closed during the following times: Wednesdays: 8 AM - 12 PM, December 24th and 31st. During these times, the tour will visit other parts of the museums

  • Skip-the-line entrance is included only for the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. For St. Peter's Basilica, you might be asked to wait in a line
  • Meeting time is subject to change; if this occurs, you will receive a call or message from the activity provider

Great! Our tour guide really seemed to care. Kept the group together somehow in spite of the throngs of people. Made the experience entertaining, fun, and informative. Would point us to pieces in the Vatican Museum and explain them so we weren’t overwhelmed by the vastness of the collection. Just a truly enjoyable experience.

Tour was good - beyond crowded for September but I guess this is normal? Our guide was great - VERY enthusiastic about her passion for the history of the Vatican and surroundings. Sometimes hard to hear even with headphones because of the crowds. We think we'd perhaps visit in October next time. Our only negative - was perhaps less time being spent on explaining every single painting and more time on other things....the heat didn't help as we were standing outside in the blazing sun. Overall - great tour.....would recommend. We cut out the Basilica - the tour was extremely LONG......and we were just bushed from the heat and we were already 2 hours and 40 minutes in - but to no fault of the guide! If there was a shorter tour - that might be better! Extremely pleasant and passionate guide.

This was a really good tour. The tour guide was wonderful. The art contained within the Vatican is completely overwhelming and it’s beauty and quantity we went in the evening which I think is the best time to go because there are fewer people crowding the halls.
