Full description
Avoid the long lines outside of some of Rome’s most popular ancient attractions and get skip-the-line entry to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. The tour is led by professional guides who will explain the history of Rome and introduce you to some of the most notorious Roman emperors. Included with your privileged priority entrance to the archeological areas are headsets that will help you to hear your guide better. You will visit one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Colosseum, the immense amphitheater that was the largest ever built by the Roman Empire. Imagine the gladiatorial fights and public spectacles that took place in the arena. You will also go to Palatine Hill, site of the foundation of Rome and settlement of the most important houses of emperors and kings. Located just feet from the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus, it is the centermost of the 7 hills of Rome. Hear about the legends and history of Eternal Rome and stop on the Via Sacra to learn how everyday Roman citizens used to live. You will also visit the Temple of the emperor Julius Caesar, and explore the ruins of the Roman Forum, center of all Roman government and public life.

The guide is very good, with a lot of experience and knowledge. We almost didn't do the tour because the person in charge of receiving passengers was located behind the Arch (something that was not clarified in the voucher: it said under the Arch and since there are bars obviously that location is not possible) and, Despite having been warned, at no time did he go to look for it or see if there were people waiting in front of it. It was a brunette girl with curly hair. What's more: he started the tour with 6 fewer people than those who had signed up without verifying if there were more people in front of the arch, justifying that it was very hot and it was cool there. But once on the tour: the Guide was very knowledgeable.

We had a really great tour with our guide Viviane. We were a small group of 9 people. From the beginning everything worked out great, understandable, informative, time to take pictures or even time for small breaks. Viviane always blocked us from having shady places or drinking enough. There was an older couple in our group, and attention was paid to that, for example, elevators were pointed out instead of stairs, or she regularly asked how they were. With this tour and with Viviane you are doing everything right. 5/5 stars

Our tour guide #73 was excellent and very informative. She tells fun memorable stories to make the history interesting . We did the 4-7 pm tour and still hot out but the tour guide did a great job giving us breaks and talking under the shades. It’s worth getting a guided tour in sites like this to gain better access inside and understanding of what we are seeing.
