Exit at V.le Giulio Cesare (to your right) and walk down V.le G. Cesare to the street light, cross the street, and take a left on Via Leone IV. Take a right on Via Sebastiano Veniero and walk 1 ½ blocks. By taxi: Ask the driver to take you to the “Ingresso dei Musei Vaticani on Viale Vaticano." From St. Peter's Square: As you face St. Peter's Basilica, turn right, exit the square, and follow the Vatican walls around toward the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Recommended. I showed up at the meeting point and met our host. She checked me in and provided me with a sticker I placed on my T-shirt. At the designated time, we went into the Vatican museum; skipped the long line outside. We went through security, and our host told us to hang tight while she gets us (the rest of the group and myself) our physical tickets. She got them within 5 minutes, provided us with our individual tickets and off we went. Once we had our tickets, we were on our own and explored the museum at our own pace.

After exchanging the ticket at the reception, I said goodbye to the guide, and went on a completely free tour. I borrowed an audio system, and there was an earphone mark and numbers written next to the exhibits that seemed to be important. I liked this style the most, so I was satisfied with the tour.

Very easy to locate our meeting spot and everyone was very helpful. The line to purchase tickets was extremely long and with the heatwave going through Rome in July it was definitely worth every penny to purchase the Skip-the-Line Tickets. We would not hesitate to purchase them again, even without a huge line and heat. Very organized and easy to get through with the freedom of walking the Chapel and Museums at your own leisure.
