I cannot imagine touring the Vatican without a guide. Andy did a terrific job showing my family of 5 persons around. My three children are ages 15, 12 and 10. He made the tour interesting and asked them questions to remain involved. As an archeologist, Andy definitely knew all about the history, art and facilities he was showing us. I highly recommend.
