We had a great time seeing the colosseum. Our guide Lucia was great! We went on a Sunday. Keep in mind the other museums are closed on Sundays so this is the busiest day for the colosseum. If your going on Sunday you will not see much without a guide, it is way too packed.

We had an amazing tour with Alessandro, who was a very experienced guide who welcomed us. He had a clear passion for being a tour guide and put all his energy in, he even had a book where we could see some illustration of how it would look like in the past. We spent a perfect amount of time in the Colosseum to see everything, and ended in the Forum. This was on my bucket list for years and thank you again for making it perfect.

Meeting point can be a little tricky but you’ll be pointed in the right direction as there are plenty of operators in the same area. Just make sure to arrive early to give yourself that time. Alecsandra was our guide and she was excellent. Nice to have a local talk us through the history of Rome as her enthusiasm and love for their place was obvious. It was a very hot day but Alecsandra did well to keep us in the shade as much as possible. Make sure to have a water bottle on you (few water spots to refill) and comfortable shoes. Fantastic few hours spent!
