Full description
Your small group tour will begin with the Colosseum — 1 of the 7 wonders of the world, a UNESCO site, and the longest-lasting cultural and social institution of roman history. You will be amazed by the reconstructions of the fancy armor, helmets, gladiators, fighters, and weapons which were designed to impress the audience. Your visit to Palatine Hill means re-visiting the origins of this eternal city. The south-western corner of the hill was the place where wooden huts of the first Romans were found. According to myth, this was also the venue where the two twins Romulus and Remus, abandoned by their mother, were found and raised by the she-wolf. The hill still preserves the archaeological remains of many significant Ancient buildings, which you will discover with your guide. Finally, you will discover the Roman Forum, the main square in the downtown of Ancient Rome. It is considered that this was a gathering place for various activities with banks, shopping malls, and religious buildings. It was also the center of political power and the administration of justice. This famous square was the location of famous speeches of some of the most influential personalities, including the speech of Mark Antony regarding Julius Caesar.

Experience of rare beauty. Wrapped in a surreal silence, expression of a still lethargic tourism, the route developed from the Colosseum towards the Imperial Forums and was accompanied by the permeating words of our guide. Difficult describes the wealth of information offered. These have ranged from history to philosophy to literature, to Greek and Roman art, and animated the wonderful scenarios that presented themselves before our eyes. I highly recommend this experience

Simple and practical meeting point to find. Absolute punctuality and a lot of sympathy :) Ferdinando is an incredibly prepared archaeologist and at the same time an amazing guide. Three hours together might seem like a lot, but for us they flew by! With me I had my 10-year-old daughter, another unknown especially for the age (I feared tiredness and boredom) instead the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Forum are bewitching and certainly the story, the brilliant anecdotes and the precise and clear information, even for the most small, by Ferdinando have made absolutely the difference! Absolutely to be recommended :) clear

The guide was experienced but focused too much on archaeology and not enough on story telling. Didn’t skip the line because it was the first Sunday of the month.
