Experience

Highlights
  • Learn to make pizza from scratch, starting with flour, water and yeast
  • Roll out the dough yourself and then create your favorite pizza
  • Bake your pizza in the oven like a real pizzaiolo
  • Enjoy your freshly baked pizza in a restaurant in the center of Rome
Full description
Make your way to the restaurant located in central Rome where you’ll meet your small group of aspiring pizza chefs and your local guide. Here, you’ll spend a delightful evening learning how to make authentic Italian pizza from fresh ingredients.   The cooking class will set you up with a station including a work plan, an apron and rolling pin. You’ll start with a theoretical and then practical lesson on working the dough, from the ingredients to wait times to two different ways of kneading the dough. Then, choose which type of pizza you’d like to make – marinara (tomato, garlic, oregano), margherita (tomato, mozzarella, basil), diavola (tomato, mozzarella, spicy salami, chili) or Napoli (tomato, mozzarella, anchovies).   After the lesson, you’ll be accompanied to your table where you’ll enjoy a delicious bruschetta while your pizza is cooked in a wood oven. Savor a red or white wine, water or limoncello while you taste your creations.

Fantastic activity - can't recommend enough. I did this with my 7 year old son and husband. It was changed last minute to the pasta/tiramisu class due to time restraints however we were delighted with the outcome. Based in a beautiful restaurant in the centre of Rome, we all learnt such a lot. It was lots of fun and made really suitable for my son. We'll definitely be back!

Amazing! Everyone had fun and our teacher/chef was very engaging and friendly. She took her time to explain everything and made the experience truly fun. Only reason for giving it a four star instead of five is that as the second group to go up to make the pizza, we were rushed a bit by one of the guy chefs. For a little while he even to over rolling the doe for everyone-_- and had us stand in the back, instead of letting the female chef teach us how to do it correctly. Even she was annoyed with him for that. Other than that I would absolutely recommend this experience. Just try to be the first group to go up and work on the doe so you dont get rushed.

The pizza making class was good fun and Hassan was a good teacher, however I do feel it was a little expensive, especially, when the included drink is a small glass of beer. Other than that the restaurant was nice and the staff pleasant and the pizzas tasted great.
