I have visited Rome at least 10 times over the past 25 years and always on the lookout for new places to visit, new venues that have opened. The Latern Palace was a wonderful discovery, steeped in political and religious history. The rooms and art work recently opened to the public were magnificient, a really wonderful treasure hidden for decades. But one of the most enjoyable features of the visit was the outstanding guide, Luigi. His knowledge of the history of the Palace, the occupants over the centuries, his art appreciation were wonderful. His ability to guide the small group effortlessly through ever aspect of the significance of the build with his obvious passion and excitement for imparting his extensive knowledge was a joy. He made the visit doubly memorable and worthwhile. The group could have spent many hours more in his company discovering more. He has to be one of the top guides I ever came across in my many visits to Rome. A must do, highly educational tour.
