Pope Francis has announced a Holy Jubilee 10 years in advance, and on this unique bike tour you can visit the 7 pilgrimage churches. Ride along a route connecting these churches, admire their works of art, and enjoy the views from the banks of the Tiber.
What to Expect
When Pope Bonifacio VIII created the Jubilee in 1300, Rome became the main pilgrimage destination for Catholics, replacing Jerusalem and the Holy Land as the heart of world Christianity.

In the mid-16th 7 pilgrimage churches in Rome became well known thanks to the work of St. Philip Neri, who spent much of his life assisting pilgrims and introducing them to the 7 basilicas. The number 7 is linked to the fact that there were 7 Stations of the Cross, Gifts of the Holy Spirit, Sacraments, and Works of Mercy.

In just 6 hours you’ll see all the churches that the pilgrims were required to visit once they were in Rome. Admire the beauty and the collections of art in these important Catholic churches.

St. Maria Maggiore is the most ancient church devoted to Mary. San Lorenzo is the burial place of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr. Santa Croce houses the Passion Relics and St. John Lateran was the first-ever seat of the Pope. San Sebastiano is known as the catacomb church. St. Paul Outside the Walls is the burial site of Saint Paul, and St. Peter’s is the current seat of the Catholic Church.

Enjoy the flavors of the pilgrimage lunch, a typically Roman menu that completes this special day.
