Made getting in a breeze, which was essentially considering the summer lines! I do wish we had a formal guide, as the Colosseum museum isn't the best. That being said, we were still able to get a full day of activity out of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and the Forum without a guide and still felt like it was a worthwhile visit! Speaking of, HUGE shoutout to the guide who told us the side entry to the Forum, it saved us a ton of time and waiting in the big line!

We enjoyed experiencing the colosseum and the Roman forum on our own and it was nice to see everything at our own pace. I will say if there is a next time for us we will upgrade to the underground but for a first time look at everything it was definitely worth it!

Full description

Meet your host near the Colosseum and get the login details for the audio guide. Your host will accompany you to the fast-track entrance at the Colosseum, where you will then continue on your own. Stroll through the immense Colosseum, learning about the building's fascinating and violent history. Once you've explored the Colosseum, head to the Roman Forum and stroll through the ruins, which were once Rome's pulsating center. Walk paths graced by Caesar and Cicero and feel the presence of these great leaders. Finish your visit to Ancient Rome with a walk up to Palatine Hill for stunning panoramas of the city below. Explore the elite's dwellings and gardens shaped by emperors' reigns.

Meet at the entrance gate of 'Colle Oppio Park', in front of the Oppio Caffè Bar. If you arrive by Metro, from the 'Colosseo metro station' reach the terrace above the station. Walk on 'Via Nicola Salvi' about 100m. Look for our coordinator holding a White Flag at the entrance gate of 'Colle Oppio Park'.

I just bought it for the skip the line feature. I did not use the audio guide. The tour host was at the meeting place and gave me the instructions promptly. It was a convenient location.
