The guide was great but honestly, I believe an additional 30 minimum to 1 hour of time would allow one to get to look at the exhibits better. Sometimes we had to rush through a room like the room with gladiator floor tiles & you don’t have enough time to really appreciate it. My tip is that there is a good cafe in the museum as well as a gift shop which can be accessed without a ticket. You may wish to spend some time before the tour in the cafe. Also don’t assume that you have to check your bag. I checked my small backpack but then saw people with larger bags in the museum.

Clarissa was one of the best guides I’ve had since being in Rome. She shared important facts around the art while weaving an interesting story about the artists, the Borghese family, and the art itself. The Borghese Gallery was part of our first day here and we saw some beautiful art that laid the foundation for the Vatican and St. Peter’s Basilica. Brava! Highly recommend.
