I was never sure what "escorted" meant with this ticket. Apparently it means that someone meets you outside and gives you a ticket in your native language - after that you're on your own. This is NOT a guided tour. The museum is amazing, one of our favorite destinations in Rome for sure. Make sure you leave yourself time to wander the park. It's very nice. And after all the crowds and noise of Rome, a great break in a green and natural environment.

Our experience with Bianca was fabulous…..she gave just enough information about the sculptures and paintings without overwhelming us ……her stories were interesting and the depth of her knowledge remarkable….great guide and she “made our experience” My friend had mobility issues and she paid extra attention to her re safety which was appreciated… Best gallery experience yet….and we had been in Florence and the uffizi in Rome

Beautiful paintings and statues but way smaller than we thought the gallery was going to be. Very quick (an hour tops) to look at everything. The “escorted” entrance was just a lady handing us our tickets and pointing to the entry door. Some people had to check in there bags and some don’t (they seemed to pick and choose who and not stick to the size on the signs) and they said no water to some and not to others so don’t bother bringing bags and water bottles.
