What to Expect
Travel back to the days of the Roman Empire and relive the stories of emperors, gladiators and Roman citizens as you explore 3 famous attractions, starting at the Baths of Caracalla.

Make your own way to the Baths of Caracalla ticket office to exchange your voucher for your combined entrance ticket. Then, enter the thermal complex to experience a must-see sight of the “Eternal City.” The Thermae Antoninianae was one of the largest of the Roman Republic’s thermal bath complexes. Built in the southern part of Rome, under the initiative of Caracalla, the rectangular plan is typical of the great imperial bathhouses. Explore the remains of the baths at your own pace, and see the ruins of the calidarium, tepidarium, frigidarium and natatio.

Your ticket also provides access to the dramatic remains of the Villa dei Quintili, located on the route of the ancient Via Appia Antica. So extensive were the ruins of this villa suburbana when they were first excavated, the site was initially thought to have been a town and was called “Roma Vecchia” ("Old Rome") by the locals.

The last site on your combined ticket is the Tomb of Cecilia Metella (Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella), also on the Via Appia Antica. This cylindrical mausoleum was built in the 1st century BC for the noble daughter of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Creticus. She became the wife of Marcus Licinius Crassus, son of Marcus Crassus who served under Julius Caesar.

Enjoy these 3 attractions at leisure on one combined ticket. You will have 7 days to visit each site from 1st activation.
