Full description

Take an evocative, fascinating tour down the Appian Way, one of the first streets in Rome. The Ancient Appian Way is also known as the “Queen of the Streets."

It crosses the famous Parco degli Acquedotti, an important biological corridor in Rome’s city center, which tells the tale of the history of water in Rome and its related engineering works. In fact, six ancient Roman aqueducts converge here.   The rest of the tour takes you down a route that evokes the best of the region’s history, culture and art.

Ride on a top-notch and smooth e-bike on a 2,300-year-old meadow and relive the history of the great empire, crossing a unique landscape full of ancient footprints, imperial mansions, statues, tombs, and the St. Calisto Catacombs.

Guide excellent. Great thing to do if you’re in Rome for a few days. Bikes are safe and good. Company well organised. You get out of the crowds for a few hours and see some interesting sites and aqueducts which supplied water to Ancient Rome. Only downside is you are among traffic more than I expected though the guide Fabrizio kept us safe at all times.

Well organised, very good guide giving local history and answering questions. Great views of the aqueducts. Most of the ride off road, but some very busy junctions. The guide ensured our safe crossing. The riders height was requested before we met to allow the bike to be ready, further adjustment was also facilitated. A stop was made for coffee, which was welcome. One very tricky path with large, uneven cobbles, be careful!

The whole adventure was well organised, safe and interesting from start to finish. Filipio was a great guide and very knowledgeable about everything we visited along our route. He was attentive to safety at all times when we were in the Rome traffic, and always ensured that everyone was keeping up The e-bikes were eaady to ride and pretty essential for some of the route. I'd definitely recommend this half day tour.
