Continue to Piazza Venezia at the foot of Capitoline Hill, and see the wedding-cake monument of the Altare della Patria, built in honor of the 1st king of a unified Italy.
Continue to the Pantheon, one of the best-preserved sites from the Roman Republic. Then, go to Piazza Navona, built on the site of the Stadium of Domitian. Throw a coin in the Trevi Fountain; according to tradition, you will one day return to Rome.
