The Roma Pass is great in that it got me entry in to two different places (I chose the colosseum and Castel St Angelo) plus it gives you unlimited usage of all public transport - buses, metro and trams. Just be aware that to get your timed entry in to the colosseum you have to go online and pay a further 2 euros each for the colosseum.

A must-have pass in Rome to be able to walk around because the city is rather large and even if you walk a lot it is easy to be able to take public transport. Access to the Colosseum and Roman Forum included in the ticket and very interesting. On the other hand negative point the tickets are to be picked up at 2 tourist points but it is not next to the main station. Allow 15min walk to pick them up.

The pass allowed us entrance to the attractions we wanted and easy travel around the city on the metro. Easy to use. The only confusing thing was the need to actually have the physical card (rather than just the online purchase) in order to book attractions. However we collected the card from the tourist information office immediately we arrived in Rome. The card was validated from its first use for a full 72 hours. A great buy.
