With the city card, skip-the-line admission will be free at your first museum or site. In addition, you’ll enjoy discounted admission to all other museums and archaeological sites visited thereafter.   • Admission is free for children under 18 years of age at most attractions. Admission is free for children under 6 years of age with the Rome Civic Museum Network
  • For the Colosseum, Borghese Gallery, Circuito dei Musei Civici, Terme di Caracalla, and MAXXI you need to make a reservation online in advance (details will be provided in your confirmation voucher)

Our hotel wasn’t in the center so we used a few buses, the pass was very useful ( if you’re in the center it’s really not necessary to take the pass). We used the pass for colosseum, great experience! But we were very disappointed to find out that it doesn’t work for the Vatican museums ( sixtine chapel) => you have to get in line with everyone else. So we had to purchase last minute skip the line tickets which are very expensive

Since the Roma Pass can be used for many attractions without queuing, this is a great advantage due to the number of visitors. Furthermore, the use of public transport with the Roma Pass is free of charge. The pick-up location at the train station was poorly described in the confirmation e-mail (platform 24)

The Romacard 48 allows the use of the public and one entry. Value for money goes like this: 3-day public ticket = 18 euros; enters on top of it, also not more expensive. The subway is packed at peak times, but clearly the fastest means of transport, even if there are only a few lines...
