very confusing at the start. Booked the Vatican museum's then had to go online and book a time slot and then wait for a confirmation email on the day of the visit 1 hr before. Never recieved so had to go the main booking office to sort it out. But as I never recieved the email we were told we could not enter the museum on that day. wasted journey to Vatican city. The lady at the customer care then booked us in for the following day at 3pm but still had to wait for the confirmation email. I gladly recieved this email on the morning of my visit and eventually got to visit all of the Vatican museums. My advice is to book well in advance make sure you print a copy of all your bookings. You can also use the Roma pass to enter most of the other sites(Basilica's, Roman Forum and Palitube) You need to book a time spot for the Colosseum aswell.

If you will be staying in Rome for 4+ days, this is a life saver. Have to say it is a bit overwhelming at the start when you don't know where and how to book slots, but you should start making itinerary once you get this and you should follow it if you want to see most of the places in 3,4 days. We could save some money if we booked and bought separate attractions because we didn't use much public transport (we walked aaaa loooot) and hop on/off bus really sux. Rome has so much hostory and those things that you learn on hop on/off bus are not even worth mentioning. Anyway take this if you want to be versatile and packed up in Rome. You can save few bucks probably, but this is very convinient.

It was a bit difficult at first to pick up the necessary paperwork and passes; however, I contacted the customer service chat service and was quickly helped through the process. We enjoyed the activities available, and having the transit pass was extra helpful to get around town. The only issue we ran into was the hop on hop off bus. It took us a long while to find the pick up location; then it was late about 40 min and there was no A/C in the first floor. The heat was unbearable to start with, so being upstairs in the sun was a difficult option to choose with my elderly mother-in-law. Regardless, we thought the pass combination was an effective method of getting to see the highlights of Rome.
