It was a bit difficult at first to pick up the necessary paperwork and passes; however, I contacted the customer service chat service and was quickly helped through the process. We enjoyed the activities available, and having the transit pass was extra helpful to get around town. The only issue we ran into was the hop on hop off bus. It took us a long while to find the pick up location; then it was late about 40 min and there was no A/C in the first floor. The heat was unbearable to start with, so being upstairs in the sun was a difficult option to choose with my elderly mother-in-law. Regardless, we thought the pass combination was an effective method of getting to see the highlights of Rome.

Interesting pass but complicated to understand, the 2 card system could be simplified but despite some comprehension problems it's a great stay that I recommend, lots of things to see, Rome is a pretty city with beautiful architecture but too bad that it is also dirty when you slightly leave the tourist places

Rome really does require some advance preparation. Omnia card and Roma Pass definitely recommended and make some reservations online as well. Only downside is that you still have to pick up the card&pass in Rome. There are several pick-up points, but they are difficult to find. I had my doubts about Roma pass with 3 days of public transport, because I prefer to walk and see so much of all kinds of neighborhoods, but public transport is a welcome way to move there. Really do!
