Full description

Train to be a gladiator at a school in Rome! Go back to school, but a school with a difference! Take this fun 2-hour course at a gladiator school on the ancient Via Appia in Rome, and learn to be a Roman fighter. Suitable for children and adults both, you will live like a warrior for 2 hours, wearing the gladiator tunic and mastering the skills of swordplay – safely of course. After an introduction to Roman history, learn the basic techniques of gladiatorial swords fighting. Each session includes a description of life as a gladiator and top tips on techniques with Roman weapons. Enjoy a unique experience!

Olympus was a great teacher. While the museum was small it had many interesting items that you will not see in any regular museum. If you are a fan of the real gladiators and not the Hollywood version of them this is the place to go to. We learned many interesting facts about the real history of the gladiators and even some aspects of the Roman military. The second part was even more exciting as we were able to fight in a real arena after we did our training. Olympus knows how to fight as he is a real gladiator himself and told us that he will even fight in the Colosseum and in Circus Maximus as part of the growing gladiator tournament scene. Definitely check this place out if you are tired of only seeing Roman history and want to experience it first hand.
