Full description
Depart from Rome on a private tour for a spiritual journey to discover three sacred places in Umbria. We will pick you up at your hotel or apartment in Rome. The first stop on the tour will be Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. You will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where you can retreat in prayer in the Porziuncola, one of the most important places for Franciscanism. Afterwards, you will meet your local and exclusive guide, with whom you will explore the medieval streets of Assisi, the Basilica of St. Francis and its historic frescoes, the Basilica of St. Clare, and the church that houses the body of the recently beatified Carlo Acutis. After visiting Assisi, you will have free time for lunch. The tour will continue to Roccaporena, the birthplace of Saint Rita, where you will discover the places linked to her life, including her birthplace. Finally, you will reach Cascia, where you can visit the Basilica that houses her body and the monastery dedicated to the "Saint of the Impossible."
